Santana wins eight Grammy Awards, tying a record set by Michael Jackson in 1984. Sharon Osbourne quits as manager of Smashing Pumpkins after only three months, claiming it was for medical reasons: "Billy Corgan was making me sick." *N Sync sets a first-week sales record of 2.4 million copies, for their new album No Strings Attached. Jimmy Page successfully sues the magazine Ministry for libel - the magazine claimed he contributed to John Bonham's death by performing Satanic rituals while Bonham was on his deathbed. (Mr. Page gives the monetary award to children's charities.) Dickey Betts is kicked out of the Allman Brothers Band. Madonna marries Guy Ritchie.
