Just another GR refugee. Other than that, I had a stroke in 2004, and read almost anything I can get my hands on, though I have a particular weakness for history, mystery, and historical fiction.
R.F. Delderfield's 1972 novel To Serve Them All My Days, a wonderful story of the life of a master (David Powlett-Jones, a veteran with shell shock) at a rural boy's school from 1918-1940 is currently on sale at Amazon for $1.99.
The BBC made a series of it in 1980-1981, which aired on PBS' Masterpiece Theater in 1982, which I recall being quite good.
