Just another GR refugee. Other than that, I had a stroke in 2004, and read almost anything I can get my hands on, though I have a particular weakness for history, mystery, and historical fiction.
This read was somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars.
Robin Hobb doesn't tend to info dump, and I really appreciate that; it can be more common than I'd like in fantasy and science fiction. It also can be very common in historical fiction, alas! I hate "As you know, Bob" Syndrome, but it's not a problem here - Fitz learns things at the same time we, the readers, do.
This was my first read of one of her novels, and I'd certainly be willing to read more.
