Just another GR refugee. Other than that, I had a stroke in 2004, and read almost anything I can get my hands on, though I have a particular weakness for history, mystery, and historical fiction.
I was looking forward to this read - but frankly, the genies were more convincing than the hacking. We actually got to see the genies being, well, fantastic creatures, while I found the description of the hacking ... unconvincing, and filled with purple prose.
Also, there is a character in this novel who struck me as very Mary Sueish.
It was an interesting read, but I was ultimately disappointed by it.
